Herbal pharma franchise — build a herbal range in your district
A herbal pharma franchise is a distribution partnership built around plant-based formulations rather than chemical molecules. You promote a defined herbal range to the doctors and chemists in your area, hold the stock, and earn the margin between your rate and the printed MRP. Zivi Herbals runs this model across India with monopoly territories and a catalogue of 168 herbal products, and this page sets out what the herbal side of the business looks like in practice — what sells, how to present it and what we supply.
How a herbal range differs from a generic allopathic range
Distributors moving from generics to herbal products are often surprised by three things.
The conversation with the doctor is different. With generics, the discussion is usually price and availability. With herbal products, prescribers want to know the composition, the traditional classification of each ingredient and the pack size. Our product pages and price list are written for that conversation: every product shows its full composition and pack, so you are never guessing in a clinic.
Repeat purchase is stronger. Wellness products — liver and digestive tonics, joint oils, immunity capsules, hair and skin care — are bought repeatedly, and patients often continue them without a new prescription. A steady district can produce predictable monthly volume.
Brand loyalty lasts longer. A patient who is comfortable with a specific syrup asks for that syrup by name. If your supply is consistent, that loyalty belongs to your territory.
The Zivi Herbals herbal range
Our catalogue is organised into eight ranges so a field team can plan calls by prescriber type:
- Herbal Syrups (37 products) — the backbone of most territories, in 100 ml and 200 ml packs.
- Herbal Tablets & Capsules (47 products) — blister packs that suit chemist counters and monthly courses.
- Pediatric Range (6 products) — formulated for children, useful when you call on paediatricians.
- Ayurvedic Cosmetic Range (17 products) — creams, oils, soaps and face care that move through both clinics and retail.
- Other Herbal Products (31 products) — oils, powders, sprays and specialised items.
- Herbal Juices (9 products) — a wellness line that sells well in retail.
- Classical Range (9 products) — classical Ayurvedic preparations for practitioners who prescribe them.
- Single Herb Range (12 products) — single-herb capsules for straightforward recommendations.
Every product on this website carries its composition, pack size and MRP. Nothing is hidden behind "price on request" unless the item genuinely is quoted per order, in which case it says so.
What you receive as a franchise partner
Exclusive territory
Your district, or the group of districts agreed with us, is yours for the agreed range. We do not appoint a competing distributor inside it. Exclusivity is written into the agreement before your first order.
Printed price list and product data
You get the current price-list edition as a PDF, with composition, pack and MRP for every product, plus the same information on this website for the partners and doctors you share links with.
Promotional material
Visual aids, product cards, order books, prescription pads and the field items a representative needs. The package is agreed up front so you can plan your spend.
Supply you can plan around
Orders are confirmed and dispatched with updates, and shortages are communicated before dispatch, not discovered when the carton opens.
Building the territory in the first six months
- Pick a focused list. Twenty to forty products that match the prescribers you already know beat a full catalogue that you cannot detail properly.
- Start with two or three anchor products. Most territories are built on a few high-repeat items — typically a liver or digestive syrup, a joint oil and an immunity or general tonic — with the rest of the range following the prescriber.
- Cover chemists as well as clinics. A prescription is only useful if the pack is on the shelf nearby. Stock your top ten products with the chemists closest to each prescriber.
- Keep a call cycle. Weekly or fortnightly visits to the same list of doctors build recall far faster than occasional wider coverage.
- Track what repeats. After three months your own order history tells you which products deserve more stock and which can be dropped.
Requirements
- Valid drug licence (retail or wholesale) in your firm's name.
- GST registration.
- Dry, clean storage space for stock.
- Working capital for the first stocking order and promotional material.
- Time in the field — yours or a representative's.
Common questions
Do I need experience in Ayurveda?
No, but you do need to learn the range. Partners who spend a week understanding composition and pack sizes convert far more calls than those who rely on price alone.
How quickly can I start?
Once your licence and GST details are shared and the territory is confirmed, the first order can usually be dispatched within a few working days.
Can I sell online?
Online sale of Ayurvedic medicines has its own rules and platform requirements. Discuss it with us before listing anywhere, so your territory rights and the platform's compliance requirements are both respected.
What if a product does not move in my area?
Tell us early. We would rather adjust your list to what your prescribers actually use than have stock sitting in your godown.
Is this the same as the PCD franchise?
It is the same commercial model. This page focuses on the herbal range and how to sell it; the Ayurvedic PCD pharma franchise page explains the franchise mechanics, documents and start-up steps.
Take the next step
Send us your district and the doctors or chemists you already cover, and we will tell you whether the area is open, share the current price list and suggest a starting range. Call +91-9023639358 or +91-8699039365, email ziviherbals@gmail.com, or use the enquiry form on this page.
Ayurvedic and herbal products are promoted within the limits of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act and AYUSH advertising rules. Product material describes composition and traditional classification, not disease claims.
